Freestanding Chalkboard Upcycled From Vintage Sidetable

Scott Valentine
by Scott Valentine
This vintage piece started out as an antique side table. I thought the table top would make a great chalkboard and I could use the pedestal on another project, but when I took the table top off and leaned it near the legs I knew it would make a great freestanding chalkboard. It took some doing. I wanted it to look as if it has always been like this. I added some bracing to the back to make it really sturdy. And I love the way it came out. More upcycles on my blog. http://destinationsvintage3.blogspot.com/
