My $5 Shell Lamp

I love the look of a shell-filled glass lamp, but wasn't willing to spend $100+ retail to buy one for my beachy dining room, so when I found this $4 empty glass lamp at a thrift store, I knew exactly what I would do with it.
What a perfect addition to my beachy dining room!
Forgot to take a photo of the "before" - it was fake brass (so ugly!). I took it apart and spray painted it white with 97 cent spray, generic paint from HD.
I then filled the glass "pot" with shells my daughter and I collected ourselves from Sanibel Island, Florida and added a lamp shade I already had.
Great addition to the room, don't you think?
