Toy Box

Carol G
by Carol G
I found a toy box at Goodwill for 22.99, I wanted to make something for my granddaughter and this is how it came out.
I took apart the toy box so I could paint the inside and the out. Cleaned it first with soap, water and rubbing alcohol to get any grease off.
Painted stripes on the top and a lattice pattern on the bottom.
finished it with a saying "In search of my mothers garden, I found my own"
stenciled a tree on both sides. And a resin scroll work on the top.

May I make a comment on this beautiful piece, Type out the story of the toy box, who made it, who gave suggestions, and most important who it was created for. Then mod podge it to the bottom - That makes it not only an heirloom, but one just for your family.
