Growing Wheat Grass for Cats (and Dogs).

Widgy Cat
by Widgy Cat
We grow wheat grass each winter to keep our cats from chewing on the houseplants. This protects both the plants and the cats. Dogs enjoy nibbling on wheat grass too. And, yes, this is the same stuff people juice! Click for a full tutorial (this really is simple).

We have indoor kitties so they don't know what grass is. I'll have to see if I can remember to get some grass seed for them and see how they like it. I have the perfect container for it already as I thought about doing so for my precious Max cat after we moved here and he no longer went outside. Does it have to be wheat grass or can it be another kind? Oops just noticed you had a link. I'll go check that first.
