Hi Hometalkers!

I painted this mirror frame years ago and it went into storage because I had no place to hang it. I brought it out of storage a few months ago and I'm going to put it in the bedroom. I just need to decide if it should go on the wall or the floor.

It's 41 x 39 and is quite heavy but could still be put on the wall. I'm wondering if it is tall enough to be left on the floor or should it sit on something?

Sometimes deciding where to put things can be a pain in the booty!

I used several different paint colors and mixed some together to get the color I wanted to useicon

Since I did this a few years ago some of the paints above might be new but I usually replace them with the same colors. A creature of habit I guessicon

It was a dresser mirror from the 80's. I worked on it here and there for about a month.

I don't have any before pictures, it's rattan, was light brown and I wanted to keep it because it is a beveled mirror and a very nice solid piece!

I wanted a mosaic but didn't want to make it heavier by adding tiles to it so I painted it by hand to look like a broken tile mosaic frame! I love it and can't wait to display it!

What do you think?

So could you explain further please?

Did you remove the rattan frame or did you cut wood to go over it? Very beautiful ingenious idea! It looks a bit too small to set on the floor but setting it on a piece of furniture would be ideal. I have a couple of mirrors setting on different pieces of furniture in my home. 1 sets on a old trunk and the other sets on my grandmothers desk I’ve repurposed to use as my vanity!
