A Crazy Flip, Almost Flop~!

Inherited this dresser when we bought our home. And it sat in its current condition because, A. it worked great to keep the daycare kiddies clothes in, and B had NO idea how to give it new life. Since I retired from home daycare, 25 years was enough ;-) I have been spending lots of time working on my love of woods, paints and fun projects. Really happy with the outcome of this dresser. The Before pic of the top was my biggest concern! It was in really, really bad shape, water damage, varnish that had peeled off, just a MESS!. So I started there, thinking the body of the piece would be a cake walk. WRONG! I started sanding the top just to see what was under that ugly mess. 4 hours of sanding through stain, pink paint, blue paint, stain again I hit WOOD! And it was gorgeous! So inspired!! I started to work on the body. NO hope, previous treatments had left her pretty scarred up and beyond restoration. So, I painted in a beautiful robin egg blue and gave a light distressing and wax. ( Hints please, on photographing Light blue) no matter which light I used today, daylight, dusk, flash no flash.. it looks white. Anyhow, just a bit of Inspiration to share... just cause it looks hopeless its NOT!
