Ikea Cabinet Makeover Before and After

by Kristi Bennett
I purchased this Ikea Cabinet at a local thrift store for $15. I lived with the blonde color for a while, but I'm a fan of color and this baby needed some life.
Who says blondes have more fun?
I painted it with Webster's Chalk Paint powder and red paint. Added the blue on the doors and then used a stencil to add the red accents on the doors.
Cost $30 total. Cabinet $15, Paint Powder $15, Paint
The before in it's boring blonde color.
This was the sticker on the cabinet.
I used Webster's Chalk Paint powder mixed with red paint I already had.
I was concerned with the paint sticking, but the chalk paint went on smooth and easy. No sanding needed.
I used stencils I have in my stash for the doors.
painted the doors an shelves blue. The blue was from a jar of oops paint I had on hand.
