Hello from Michigan!
My favorite place I shop when looking for supplies to create my unique craft projects is the Dollar Tree store. With everything one dollar, I can make wreaths under $20 or less! Usually when buying just a roll of deco mesh, and a wreath form, from craft outlets, you walk out with spending a lot of money. Using your local Dollar Tree store, and thinking outside of the box-saves money and really adds to your creativity level. Here I have THREE projects, along with links to the video's and how to get your supply list and create yourself a cute wreath, gift, or even wedding decorations. Especially a white majestic SWAN-they love to hang around for wedding decorations!

Here is the supply list for the FLAMINGO:
!. Cut one green foam in half. 2. Use the microwave cover and cut a circle the same size of the green foam. Hot glue to the back. 4. Press firmly while drying. I recommend LOW glue temp setting.
1. Bottom of Flamingo. 2. Use the gold wire and cut one inch pieces and attach them to the half like an S. Then attach to the circle. You will have one piece left-use this for the beak. Tip: If you do not want to carve the extra foam and paint it into a beak-you can use a fake banana or a fake squash and paint it to look like a beak. I don't waste the form and it is easy to carve and paint. Google a flamingos beak.
I am carving the beak and using patio paints. I have inserted the gold wire and will let it dry. Spray coat glaze if going outside.
1. Cut the silk flowers and place them around the circle. I used lace around the circle for a more feminine touch but it is optional. The flowers cover the foam. 2. I used lei's to wrap the neck of the flamingo-it took two of them. 3. Way it looks. 4. added last lei and pink carnations to glue to the center.
The remaining gold wire will be used at the legs. I placed gold pipe cleaners around the legs of the female. The male, I left alone and bent. The eyelashes were added to an eyeball. DollarTree sells a huge package of them and get a bag and use the other eyes for peacock and swan project you view on YouTube. Glue eye in place.
I was waiting for her beak to dry. Once it does, insert it with some hotglue to her face. The male bird was $10 to make and the female $13. See you again. Miss Jones, Bay City, MI
