I’m a junkie for junk but I don’t really call my finds junk, I call them treasures. One of the best stress breaks I can think of is a day out browsing through flea markets and thrift stores. Hey, what can I say, I’m frugal and love saving money. Making a good living in this world is tough. Why waste money on plastic or fake wood items when you can shop for vintage, find a rare item that has stood the test of time and save.

Recently, while in the middle of a digging frenzy I stopped in my tracks. There in the back of a booth sat a three tier counter top display rack. Attached across the bottom of this solid iron rack was my sign! Yes, my shop’s sign. In days gone by my husband and I owned a gift and floral shop. We sold both vintage and new items. The name of our shop was “Time & Again”.

My husband was delighted when I arrived home with this treasure that had a special meaning to both of us. The rack fit on our counter top perfectly except it is too tall for the top shelf to be of much use. I’m still rolling over ideals as too what I can do with it.
We did some research and learned of an online cosmetic, store “Time & Again”. However, we have no knowledge whether or not this rack was once used in a street side store with this same name or if the name belonged to a cosmetic company. The origin and age of this rack remains a mystery unless someone reading this can shed some light. Please feel free to share if you recognize this rack.

I purchased some red, (unknown brand) white, and blue (Better Home and Gardens) flowers at Walmart on clearance, still waiting to be planted. In preparing to decorate for Fourth of July weekend the rack will temporary serve as an outdoor plant stand as we the people celebrate this special holiday “Time & Again” and pray forever more.

I hope you will watch my video of the pinwheels spinning in the wind on my up and coming soon blog, http://www.frugallivinggood.com.

Temporarily using as a garden center rack with Patriotic pinwheels spinning in the wind.

Lastly I added my Patriotic Puppy which was handcrafted from scrap pine wood and painted by this writer. Today he is holding a Milk Bone doggie treat. Over the years he has served in many stations including setting proudly in a memorial wreath for my father on Veterans Day.
