I’ve wanted a sunflower/sunburst mirror for a while. I found a couple that I liked at the store, however, I wasn’t a fan of the price. After some research, I knew the best material for this project was heavyweight cardstock. I was going to use a circular mirror but I decided I needed something on top to decorate, then, Eureka! I will use a wood embroidery hoop and clothespins. They are easy to find and really affordable. I drew the pattern and guide to make the placement of each petal easy-peasy and you can download them form my blog avantimorocha.com using your social media to unlock the file or buy it in my Etsy shop.

Check out the video above to learn how to make this sunflower mirror on your own! OR you could always just follow this step-by-step guide. No matter what you do I’m sure you’ll enjoy making this gorgeous mirror.

Just one question...it looks like you have shaded the petals abit to give it more definition. Did you do that with a dark paint and brush or does it just look that way. I am excited to try and make one of these myself as I commented down below.

It looks like the card is indented where you put the mirror ,

is it sunk or how did you glue the mirror onto the base
