What is dust?

Dust is made up of fine particles that come from various sources: waste, earth, pollution, clothing fibers, dead skin cells, pollen, and dust mites. Gross, right?

What are dust mites?

As the name suggests, dust mites are tiny insects that feed off dust, especially dead human skin cells. They love hot and humid environments but they can cause allergy problems in humans.

How to dust a ceiling fan without creating mess

1. How to dust a ceiling fan

Almost every home has ceiling fans and while we don't see it, they get really dusty.

Using an old pillowcase, cover the blades, one at a time, then pull the case towards you. The dust will be contained in the pillowcase not falling on your head.

After you're done dusting, just throw the case into the washer.

See here for an in-depth guide on how to clean your ceiling fan.

Dear friend had hardwood floors refinished. She is clean freak so after all work done had furnace vents cleaned and she swears her home isn’t near as dusty as before the floors we redone. Can’t wait for my remodel done to do the same. I hate dusting

I just use my vacuum and brush attachment to suck up dust and regulate the intake on my vacuum. If you are using compressed air aren't you just making double work for self buy blowing dust off of item and then having to dust again the place the dust is landing?
