I actually made this very thing-but to sift my compost! Talk about double-duty. I've been looking for something to dry my basil on, and it's already sitting in my back yard. And I know this is an old post, but I saw it at the perfect time!

AS long as you stay with the PVC hardware cloth all will be good. Metal cloth is not lead free. Thought all should know.
