So you love the beach! Maybe you want to decorate your bathroom a little island like...OR poolside...or just put a few fun pops of nautical fun in your home!

Here are a few pieces I recently made....let me break down how I created them and where I found the parts needed!
So first up I bought some old frames at Wally World (A.K.A. my local Walmart). You can find these used or like me, pay $4 a frame.

I framed some burlap and did a dry brush in Junk Monkey Paint - it's a paint with no priming, no sanding, no stripping, so it sticks to the frame with one swipe of the brush! (Color used is Antique Lace).

I found these awesome starfish for $4 as well!
I glued this to the outside of the picture frame & voila!
Cute right? And so easy!

Now speaking of gluing, I will tell you I experimented with these new glue sticks on these projects. I'm giving it 2 thumbs up!
The next project does include more gluing, AND ROPE!
I found a clear vase to work with. You can get these at the dollar store or pretty much any craft shop. I took my time and put as much of this on the bottom part of my vase. But I left a little spot for glitter.....yes GLITTER!!!!!
The fine stuff that gets everywhere! LOL

Put a good heaping of Mod Podge below the rope and then go to town shaking this stuff over it. It sticks nicely! You can spray with a clear sealer once its dried too. Here's a close-up. Like it?
For the next project, I cheated, Could I have broken down pallets and made this, yes. Did I want too? No.

Find a pallet backdrop already put together at your local craft shop. I know Walmart also carries them for $10.

I painted the planks some beachy colors and then stuck a wooden anchor on it. I also used a little of the leftover rope to enhance it! I think it came together nicely, you?
And in the last photo you see the two cute succulents. I kill plants so I went with plastic. Dropped them in some small terra cotta pots and splashed some more Junk Monkey Paint on them. This time in Bahama Jade. Love this color!
Would you put these in your bathroom? On your windowsill? Where?
Can't wait to see what you create! Put your own spin on them!
