I hit the jackpot last week at an estate sale where I purchased this dresser and night stand for $10 & $2 respectively. The dresser had some damage to the front "kick plate" and legs, but a little wood putty and a new wrap-around base, along with some paint details and new drawer pulls made this a really fun project to complete. It's going to be hard to let these go - I want to keep them!!
After some TLC, paint, new pulls and base.
"Before" (ugh!- but only $10) A mid-century "colonial" style, ho-hum dresser. (sorry, forgot to take a pic of the night stand)
Damage to the legs.
Damage to the side.
New blue/gray paint and soft, nylon rope pulls.
Some cute nautical detail.
Just the right amount of distressing and some tinted wax to finish it off.
The great little matching stand ($2!!)
So happy with the results. I'd love to keep this one! What do you think?

Quite a change! The dresser looks so much shorter now, is it?

    Or just photo?
