DIY Kitchen Storage Tips Using Removable Hooks

When I downsized after retiring, I moved to my cozy little home. I love my home but storage is often a problem especially in the kitchen. I cook at least twice a day and need to be able to grab what I want without looking high and low. Like many of you, I fell in love with the removable hangers and hooks a few years ago. I have those hooks everywhere. I love that I can take them down and not damage the walls.
Using removable hooks or just the removable stickers, I increased by storage of kitchen items.
I have over the cabinet hanger for kitchen towel. The towel can slip off the metal and the hanger can slip off the door if pulled the wrong way.
I have a chrome over the cabinet door towel hanger by the sink. Towels can slip off the chrome. If you pull the wrong way the hanger came come up off the door.
I made a knot and started wrapping cord around the bar. When you get to the end of the bar, make another knot.
Now the towel won't slip off the hanger. But what about keeping the hanger on the cabinet door?
Place removable sticky tab on the hanger. Press to cabinet and hold. Wait an hour before hanging a towel.
You can do the same thing with magnetic hangers on the refrigerator. Put removable sticky tabs beside the magnetic strip. Wrap hanger in cord. Now the hanger won't fall off the door and the towel won't slide off the hanger.
Use removable hooks to hang occasionally used tools on inside of kitchen cabinet doors.
I saw this on Pinterest and had to do it. Put your box of aluminum foil and other boxes on inside of cabinets (lower are better). Put a dowel thru box and attach removable hooks.to cabinet. Hang box with dowels on hooks. Take down and use. Easy to return to hooks when done. Cost will vary with number of hooks and sticky pads used. A small long dowel at Walmart was 97 cents. I cut my dowel in 2 for 2 boxes.

Clever idea. When I saw the picture I thought the foil was supposed to be pulled and cut while the box was still on the door. Would that work too? Presently my foil and wraps are in little baskets inside the cabinet door and I have to take them out to use them.

I have hung my utensils on command hooks on my backsplash. Works and looks great. However, my command hooks keep falling off the tile backsplash. Any suggestions on how to keep them from falling?

I also saw on Pinterest that you can turn the command hooks sideways so that the prongs fit into holes in the ends of your foil wrap, Saran Wrap etc.

Thanks Carol, after looking at several command hooks online and reading some blogs I think I may be able to solve the problem. Now that I hopefully solved the knob problem, I just wish that I could change my profile info, I have tried several times and it just does not change, they have the right name, but the wrong city, I am in Albany, NY. I sent Hometalk a message, lets see what happens. I hope you are safe in Fl.

Good luck with the name change. I'm safe and sound. Thanks for asking. Eye went over my county - sounds like an army of banshees outside your home screaming in the wind. House ok. Lost part of my fence and my large crepe myrtle. Yard is a mess but it will come back. I'm very lucky and grateful.
