My Ugly Lamp Makeover

We just got a new home and the lamps that were here, it was a show home, were not to my liking. I had to change them. I had no idea what I was doing but love the results.
This is the only picture I have of the lamp before in my livingroom. Can you see how the color just blends with the wall? Yuck!!
So this is what I did. This is a before, ugly gold, and after, Brown Hammered with satin finish. Sorry for the bad lighting, this pic was taken in the shed, where I did the paint job.
This is with the newly recovered shade.
With the night light on.
The finished product. Love how they no longer fade into the wall. Hope you like.

that was such a simple idea to just paint it, I have a garage full of old lamps never even thought of restyling them and giving a new shade too.
