SK's Old Pine to Copper

SK on Elderberry
by SK on Elderberry
A fun project using some specialty paints. Modern Masters Oxidizing paints and texture from Wood Frosting. These oxidizing paints are amazing to watch. You never quite know what you will get till it done. Using Wood Frosting I frosted the wood to look like old metal texture. I then used Modern Masters Copper metal effects paint. With a green oxidizing effect. I added curtain finials for feet and covered the interior with black painted beadboard. I am excited to know this piece is going into an artist studio as display piece. An old and abused pine caabinet
Adding Wood Frosting for Texture
Cutting glass into diamonds and making them antique mirrors.
Using Modern Masters Copper Metal Effects paint in copper. Oxidizing into a green patina.
Adding the diamond mirrors and framing with scrolled wood.
The copper has oxidized the amount I wanted. So I finished with a dark wax and buffed.

Wondering your thoughts on this piece and if this finish will "work". Read information on their site- concerned how much I will need.

@Patty S Hi Patty. I bought one small bottle and a small bottle of the reactive spray. This finished my whole piece which was over 6' tall and 4' wide. Good luck. and pictures please. sk
