Repurposed Folding Closet Doors. Now Shade My Patio.

by Patty S
We desperately needed shade on our Arizona southwest facing patio. Fabric just doesn't last. We leave for the hot summers to go to our home in Wisconsin and I didn't want the task of removing them and rehanging them each season. I went to a local recycled building supply store in our area and picked up these eight hinged closet doors. I painted them and hung them at each corner post. Now I can direct them how I want to create shade. It really works just great.

awesome. I love it. we used tall wood shutters as doors on the deck and they lasted long time till finally trashed them. wasps love rotten wood! yikes. will try vinyl tall shutters as doors to see how they work. and no wasps. ;-)
