I live in South Florida… so finding a home with a chimney is not very common. So when I purchased my fixer upper.. I was extremely excited when I had a new toy to play with.

My head was on overload with all the mantel decor running thru my brain and the “witch Legs” coming down the chimney was a must do.

I’ve seen the decor in stores for about $12. So, I was on a mission to make this for under $5. I spent $2..... because I already had some of the items… but if you had to buy the items I used, you would spend about $5. icon

I hope you guys like it and try it, make it, and share it. I love seeing what others come up with.

I really had fun"brewing" this up. icon

Take some scrap paper and crumble it up , shape it to look like the letter "L" or in my case what looks like a chicken's neck.. LOL icon
Grab some painters tape and bond it together so it doesn't lose the shape.
Crumble a small amount to make a heal and tape it together.
Take card-stock and roll it, and tape it. (A paper towel roll would work just fine )
Now place the "foot" and roll in the sock
Use electrical tape to mold the foot. this will make it look like a boot. "BOOM"
Grab some cardboard (I used the cardboard that same with the socks) and staple the legs to it. This is where you will staple the skirt.
Grab some mesh, fold/overlap and stable making it look like a skirt.
Staple it to the cardboard and......
POOF!
I added a bow. Bows are in this fall ... LOLOLOL .
She completes my OH SOOOO "scary" mantel.
