I love head planters (crazy about them really and have made a few others). I took a male styrofoam wig head cut a hole in top for plant. Glued him to a piece of wood for a base. Then I painted him flat black with spray paint for plastic. I then pounced on Burnt Sienna and Espresso paints adding a little off white randomly. I let dry and made a mixture of 50/50 elmers glue and water. I worked in small sections painting head with glue and applying crumpled kleenex tissue. When whole head was dry (overnight) I pounced burnt sienna all over the head, then taking the espresso I pounced it very lightly around. When dry I LIGHTLY dry brushed the off white all over. After dry I sealed and planted.. He has a chocolate soldier plant for his hair. Daughter bought me the head it was (9.00 at hobby lobby- but they can be found cheaper)and I used scrap wood. So just had to buy more kleenex. The most time consuming partof whole project was applying the kleenex and waiting for it to dry
