I have decided to make all my Christmas gifts for my family. I made this following sign for my aunt who lives on a farm and has a love of horses. So I decided to make the W on the sign 2 horseshoes. I got the piece of wood free at a thrashing show this summer. It was free and I loaded up my car... just knowing that I would use them at some point...
Enjoy...
Started with a piece of wood...
Used my computer to print letters, then cut them out to use as stencils.
Used brown acrylic paint to fill in my penciled in letters...
All details painted now ready to put on poly... I did both sides so that the wood would be protected and it won't keep breaking off.
Main side all done with poly and looks great.
Then after dry added some rope detail to the top. Used hot glue gun to secure.
All done...
