This baby chair has been in the family for 14 years. My niece bought it for her daughter. I decided to give it a little makeover.
Tired and worn
The first thing I did was I carefully took all of the seams apart and I kept them as my template.
I've no idea why my photos look dragged
I laid all of the old parts on the new fabric. I pinned and cut each new piece carefully together to make double sure I had it all trimmed correctly.
This photo shows how old and yucky it was
The closing clips were a bit tricky to get right. ( I not a seamstress, I'm just a have a go Grandma.)
I'm proud of my first " upholstery " job!!!! Lol..I replaced the wadding because I didn't see any sense in half doing the job. I used a piece of bed sheet fabric on the back. It's a really cheap way if all you need is plain cotton.
My new little fairy snoozing in her new chair. The fabric was on sale in IKEA for €2 a meter. I had enough left over to make a pillow for her crib.
