DIY Restoration Hardware Driftwood Wreath Tutorial

After seeing this awesome wreath at my daughter's, I knew I could make my own version for a fraction of the cost. Luckily I found a bag of small driftwood pieces while out thrifting. But a quick trip to the lake or riverbank would have netted me some great pieces too. In less than 30 minutes and at about 1/10th of the cost, I had my own Restoration Hardware driftwood wreath.
Although smaller, my version holds up well against the original.
Start with an MDF wreath form from the craft store, a glue gun and some pieces of driftwood 3-4" long.
Glue some larger pieces to create a base on which to build up the height.
Fill in with smaller pieces, adding different shapes and textures to the final layer.
The finished product looks great against the grass cloth wallpaper in our back entryway.
