Red and White Christmas Living Room Tour

Welcome to my Red and White Christmas Living Room that I’m sharing today as part of the Christmas Tour Of Homes.
This living room is where we hang out every day and every night.  Where we watch movies, unwrap our gifts on Christmas morning, and the place we all feel relaxed and cozy, and I love the traditional red and white with the little whimsical touches that make it reflect the personality of our family.
I picked this old window up from a house that was being torn down, and I placed it here over the sofa table to replace a colorful painting that we had hanging here for years.  It made things so much more neutral, and it opened this spot up to so many more ways to decorate.  I don’t know why I waited so long to do this!  My aunt made me the red sign that I hung above the window, and it is the perfect greeting for all who enter.  I love the way the two touches of red play against the black and white of the table decor.
I went in a completely new direction with my fireplace this year, and it is quiet, and simple, yet it is kind of flying it’s freak flag with the cream and  red fringe detail that I used as garland.  I found both of these trims at Hobby Lobby.  It’s a little bit hippy chic and I totally dig it.
We bought this flocked tree from Lowes this year, and I think it might be my favorite tree I have ever owned. I felt like red and white was so fitting on this tree and that is how the whole color scheme and theme for this year was born. I hope you enjoyed these few peeks into my home for Christmas, but you can see much more of the tour by clicking through to the blog. Merry Christmas!
