The best way to remove wallpaper (in my humble opinion) is steam.
I've used chemicals and it they're messy. Plus, they sometimes don't work all that well.
A few years back we bought a wallpaper steamer. IT IS AWESOME!!!
I made a tutorial showing you all the steps I take to remove wallpaper.
And there's a great video (as usual). Click the link below for all the details

Make sure you read to the end of the post because there's a SPECIAL surprise.
Hope you like it :)

What's the best way to remove wallpaper? Steam and I'll show you why :)
Peel off as much of the top layer as possible.
Score the remaining top vinyl layer.
Place a drop cloth on your floor.
Use a Wagner Power Steamer. You can buy one for $49. That's cheaper than a night out!!
Plug steamer into a GFCI outlet.
Place steamer on wallpaper for 10-15 seconds
Scrape off soft paper with a 6 inch drywall knife.
Throw away damp paper so that it doesn't stick to the floor or drop cloth.
Wash off glue residue using 1 gallon of warm water mixed with 1 teaspoon of Dawn soap. Scrub the wall with a grout sponge and rinse it thoroughly.

Would this method work if the wallpaper is on drywall? I ask because I don’t want to accidentally wet and scrape off the drywall paper. Thank you Eric

Would a Shark hand mop steamer from a Shark steam mop work? I know it would be a bit more awkward, but that's what I have.)

    Thanks!

I'm not sure this will work for me. My house has bamboo wallpaper which seems to be somewhat thicker. Anyone with textured wallpaper removal ideas. I really don't want to damage the wall behind if I don'thave to. Please advise.
