Create Christmas Artwork Using Leftover Wrapping Paper

You can make easy artwork using wrapping paper you may have had leftover from last season. It's a great way to make use of it, while adding a wonderful festive touch to your walls on the cheap!
I used an 8 by 10-inch artist's canvas as the base for the art. You could try using larger or smaller canvases as well. Choose a wrapping paper with a simple pattern such as stripes, cut to size and wrap the canvas as you would a present, using tape to secure the paper to the back of the frame.
Cut out a few pictures from different wrapping papers that have some of the same or contrasting colours in them as your backing.
I chose this cheerful snowman as the central figure. The fact that this particular picture is in a triangular shape adds interest to the finished project.
Attach a strip of contrasting paper across the middle of the canvas to represent ribbon, taping it at the back in the same way as the background paper. Finish by gluing the chosen picture in the center. Making three different pieces to hang in a grouping makes a wall look very Christmas-y!
