Take an old mantle and give it a fresh new look! No fireplace, no problem! I filled in my opening with wood planks.

Quick way to update an old mantle with lots of life left in it!
Cleaned the mantle first with sprayway glass cleaner.
My name is Amber, and I am going to show you how I gave this Mantle a makeover for this past Christmas Display I created!
Next, I painted my 1st coat with Dixie Belle Vintage Duck Egg
Next I started layering Midnight Sky, Fluff and as needed Vintage Duck Egg. Spraying with water if needed to blend the colors. All Dixie Belle Paints used. See materials list for the links

Finally I layered over with fluff and midnight sky with a dry brush technique.

This was my live video on my facebook page. Skip through the chatter if you want! :)
We nailed on 1x4 planks to the back with a brad nailer and air compressor. Stained the boards Dark Walnut and Styled it for Christmas!
