I really wanted to make a Valentine's Day wreath, but I didnt want to take the time to make it, and only display it for a few weeks. So, I thought about how I could make a wreath that could also be displayed for spring.

My 6 year old helped me pick the colors and I think that they look fantastic.
Gather your supplies! Everything for this project can be found at the dollar store, including the glue sticks.

The base of this wreath is actually a floral foam ring, not a wreath form. It makes it super easy to pop flowers on.

I bought the foam because I couldnt find a wreath form at my dollar store. Im so glad that I did! This was the easiest wreath that I've ever made.
First, glue the end of the burlap ribbon into place. Glue it on an angle so that it wont bulge when you wrap it around the foam. Be careful though, that glue soaks right through the ribbon.

My dollar store had so many colors of burlap ribbon.

Second, start wrapping the foam with the ribbon. Wrap it pretty tight to avoid bulges. You may need to wrap it twice if the foam shows through the burlap.

When you get to the end, glue it down to the back of the wreath.

Cut off an extra ribbon, and trim and fly away burlap pieces.

Now, add the flowers. Cut the flower stems about an inch long. You want to make sure that the stem wont poke through the back of the wreath.

Push the flowers right in. So easy.

When you want to switch the flowers, just pop out the current color.....
...... and easily replace them with the new color.

So easy to update the look. Im going to make a natural colored wreath for my living room. I think that I'll add white flowers for spring, then red flowers for the holidays.
