An Uninteresting Plant Table Turns Into a Beauty

You can turn anything into a work of art with a little vision and know how. This one was a Christmas gift for my daughter - she'd told me the day I got it at a thrift shop that she was putting her name on it.
This piece surprised even me. Outdated, nothing special and certainly not comely, this one shouted for someone to fix it. I decided the last week of Christmas that I was going to redo it for my daughter who had put so much time into helping me with my new membership site campaign.

First I cleaned and sanded and then primed with STIX, a bonding primer.
Then painted it black with General Finishes lamp black and dry brushed it with several colors to give it interest.
Since my DD liked gold metallics, I added bronze and gold for added glitz.
Dry brushing is such a great way to add interest and depth.
And then finally added a stencil on top using one that I knew my son-in-law would like. I did all of this in two days - the fastest I've ever redesigned a piece of furniture! And fortunately they liked it!
