I needed a cushion top piece to complete my bench nook area in my loft . I was looking at the prices for one and compared to what I spent it was a no brainer for me , as I built that area myself anyway in a previous post . So I made this simple and easy no sew cushion top. I hope this inspires you to do you own diy projects in your home !!!
Gather your materials, you will need a piece of plywood and foam in the same size.
1. Apply a coat of spray adhesive onto the plywood. Make sure you have a drop cloth to avoid a sticky mess.
2. Place foam directly on top of the plywood and press down evenly.
3. Apply a coat of spray adhesive on top of the foam and then place the batting on top.
4. Place the fabric over the batting.
5. Flip it over and get ready to staple!
6. Pull the fabric to the corner as tightly as you can and staple. Pull the sides of the fabric nice and tight and staple!
7. Continue until the fabric is fully stapled and secured. (see video below)
8. After stapling the entire cushion, trim off the extra edges of the batting and fabric.
