Blessings Board

Similar to Blessings Books and Prayer Journals, this is a way for our children to express their gratitude and appreciation for all to see. While we are primarily using this as a Blessings Board in our home, it can also be hung in a playroom as a fun place for your little ones to doodle, in a college dorm room to keep notes and messages or it could even be used in the kitchen as a modern farmhouse decor piece to keep your grocery list, to-do list, etc.
Start off with a board base stained or painted to your liking. This board was a stained piece measuring 21"x15". Drill 4 large holes in each corner of the wood (2 holes will be used for hanging and 2 holes will be used for holding your craft paper down).
While some craft stores now carry these types of "plumbing" pieces for similar farmhouse decor, I prefer to go to The Home Depot and buy the actual hardware from the Plumbing Department. You will need (1) 12" x 1/2" nipple, (2 )1/2" floor flanges, and (2 )1/2" 90* elbows. You can also get the Masking Paper roll from The Home Depot's paint department (please note my mistake in paper size in the above video)

You can also hang a small jar to hold your writing utensils to your board. A jar of choice, appropriate sized hose clamp, a piece of twine and a simple cup hook will do the trick!

An old piece of painted and distressed barn wood and a vintage school room clip were used in the final step to add that Farmhouse feel to the board.
Using plumbing supplies, craft paper, twine and rope, this Blessings Board is the perfect addition to any farmhouse decor!
