old hotel credenza made into entryway or bed bench.

This is what I had to start with.... got it on the cheap but could see the potential. It's 6' long and had huge drawers.
definitely before!
Painted the entire piece with a thin coat of Rustoleum white. Sometimes oil base is the way to go. Just don't like the clean up.
Modern, neutral and soothing fabric.
Added 2 layers of dense foam cut to size and glued down with headliner adhesive.
new hardware and more distressing.
Since I used oil based, it tough so I didn't have to apply a topcoat. Will only get better with age! Had to replace one drawer slide but the are cheap!
DONE! $40 total cost and appx. 6 hours labor.
Ready to be enjoyed by whomever buys it from my booth. Love it but no room for it here. I have 1 more to do and want to go with red and ornge tones. I think it needs storage baskets slid in underneath it for shoes... what do you think?
HELP... I'm surroundef by do-overs!
In it's new but temporary home.
The End....

I really like this. I agree with the baskets underneath for shoe storage. I think that would make it more complete. This would look great at my front door so my grand daughters can take their shoes off and place them in the baskets!! Thank you for the idea and it's very beautiful!!!!
