I'm going to show you how easy it is to transform your door.
You need a wooden door to start off with, it won't work with PVC.
This is the original front door, it was a browny-black. I really wanted to make this house my own though.

Add masking tape: Once you've removed all the door handles, and taken all the accessories off the door, add a layer of masking tape if you have windows so that the paint doesn't get on it.
Also, because I'm only painting one side of the door, I'm also masking tape the back of the door as well. So when I go over the edges, its not going to bleed through,

Rub down with sand paper:  Dive the entire door a good rub down with sand paper. It will get rid of buildup and help the paint latch on.
Then give it a wipe down with a damp cloth.
3. Paint as many coats as it needs: I used Ronseal's garden paint in mint color for this. My door needed about 7 coats in the end because the underneath was dark.
The final look!

Suggested materials:
  • Masking tape
  • Ronseal garden paint
