These easy, little birdseed cups will help the critters in your yard survive especially during the cold. With their high fat content, these birdseed cups will help with fueling and warmth. Even better, with a little supervision, your kids will love-making these! It's a great activity to do together and spend some quality bonding time with your little one!

This is such a fun kid-friendly activity to teach your kids about feeding our little furry/feathery friends! It's also a great activity for honing the use of their fine motor skills.

Here is the list of items we used. It's so SIMPLE - no measurements needed as you will just add the amounts you want.

You can run the thread/rope thru the bottom of each plastic container and tape at the bottom. Make rope long enough to hang from tall branches. Once those are ready and you have melted the lard, allow it to cool so that kids won't burn themselves. Then just mix with all the seeds and fruits and nuts. Then scoop into containers.

Allow to cool or place in freezer if you want to cool them off quicker to show the kids what they've made.

Just hang and watch the critters enjoy!
