An eggshell mini garden is a great little creative project that you can do in spring. Even better, don't wait and do it now! This is also a fun activity for the kids to do, and easy. Let's see how:

First, tap lightly all the way around the narrower end of the egg about 1/3 down from the top, creating an opening in the shell. Carefully pull off shell “cap” and pour egg contents into bowl. I also add drainage, but that's optional.

Using egg dye, dye eggshells the same way you dye hard-boiled eggs.
Fill it with potting soil and water, so the soil is moist. Plant the seeds.
Find a sunny spot for your starter garden to rest and the seeds will begin to germinate. To see a few more details on how to start your mini garden and help your seedlings grow, and more options of this cute spring gardening project, visit www.applegreencottage.com
