Here’s a fun way to show off a favorite photo. Like a child’s school photo, or one of a four-legged fur baby. You can easily display small photos with these diy photo magnets. Also, a great way to use up some small thin pieces of scrap wood.
First cut the wood into small pieces. These are 2 ½” wide by 3” tall.

Next give them a good sanding, top, bottom, and all edges.

Using the color of your choice and give them a light wash by adding a little water to a couple drops of paint. This will give the wood a light tint, instead of bright bold colors.

Once dry distress the edges with some sandpaper.

Now wrap a little bit of twine around the lower part of the wood and hot glue it in place from the back. This twine is what’s going to hold the photo in place.

Then add a diy fabric rosette, or some kind of other embellishments like buttons, broken jewelry etc.

Flip it over and use a clear adhesive to glue the magnets in place. That’s it for these easy diy photo magnets.

Great for displaying favorite photos on refrigerators, file cabinets, even on lockers.

Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
