The Wonders of Nature Never Cease

this bloom from my Jane Magnolia has been hiding out for about a week now in the cluster of the leaves. for those of you who are not familiar with Jane Magnolias they bloom before the leaves set on and she had bloomed over a month ago.
Now that I am older and accepting of life and the many wonders in nature, I find it more exciting and fulfilling to find a random bloom...rather than going shopping. Gardening is joy and blooms are the product of the time and love that is spent in the garden...
I got so excited my teenager son said "what the heck mom it's just a flower"
It popped out late this afternoon

That is so lovely :) I have never heard of a Jane Magnolia (my mom's name was Jane) Do they have a fragrance similar to the magnolia tree? I just looked Magnolias up online and discovered they date back 20-95 million years! And there are hundreds of flowering species within the genus… I had no idea! I have always loved magnolia trees and would love to get a Jane Magnolia to honor my mom… is it a bush? Did you buy them locally?
