Reclaimed Barn Wood Planter

I didn't know what was making when I spied this small chunk of reclaimed barn wood in my stash, but soon an idea came to me. I built a box for it, but still wasn't sure what it should be used for until I spotted my kitchen herbs--a planter!
A rustic, reclaimed barn wood planter--it can sit on a flat surface or hang on the wall.
I built a simple, 3 sided box, using the nail gun to assemble it and attach to this awesome piece of wood.
I stenciled the word grow on it--love the white with the rustic wood.
Small hills drilled in the bottom of the box ensure proper drainage. But this would be cute in a bathrooom or as a book older in a kid's room.
Look at those square nails still in the wood--ah, wonderful, weathered wood!
Simple, sweet, functional--my kind of project!
