Making A Small Bathroom Feel Bigger

We have a very small main bathroom. It used to be covered in a floor to ceiling mural, had a deep but small tub enclosed in glass (so claustrophobic!) and carpet on the floor (why???).
We worked with the small footprint and incorporated a few tricks to make the room feel light and bright as possible.
A custom half-frosted door brings in light from the hallway.
In keeping with the rest of our home, we wanted the bathroom to be an updated vintage look. Things like the decal (from Etsy seller Elephannie), the bridge faucet, and the traditional subway tile walls added traditional character. We mixed them with more modern elements like the marble floor tiles and oversized shower head.
Shiny fixtures and reflective mirrors keep things feeling bright
One end of the shower has glass, allowing light in. The small toilet area feels open without a solid wall closing it in.
Small doesn't mean short on style. The marble rug really catches your eye. We've paired it with simple ceramic subway tiles on the wall for a fresh classic look.
