After finding this fun piece at my local thrift store I decided to give it a nice new look using some Sweet Pickins Milk Paint - In a Pickle and use the Napkin Method. Sharing how to transform and paint a side table into a Vintage Farmhouse Treasure!
Step 1 – Mix your milk paint and let sit mixing gently while you prep your piece. Sand the entire piece with 80 grit sandpaper to remove shine and uneven surface. Sand the entire piece with 80 grit sandpaper to remove shine and uneven surface.
Step 2 – Give 2 coats of Milk Paint letting dry in between each coat. Distress to your liking.
Step 3 – Separate the Paper Napkin keeping the top layer.
Step 4 – Carefully tear around the design that you want to apply to your piece.
Step 5 – Put a layer of top coat on the piece of the furniture where you would like to place the napkin. Carefully apply your napkin decal to your piece. Let dry overnight. Sand lightly with 120 grit sandpaper block to distress to your liking. Then apply a coat of top coat. Let dry.
Step 6 –  Using an old brush apply the dark Oil Wax and let sit for 10 minutes. Remove with a lint free cloth. Let sure overnight.
And there you have a fun and easy way to give a side table a nice new vintage farmhouse look.

This turned out wonderfully!~ I'm not familiar with the "napkin method." So, how did you apply the napkin applique to the table? Did you use Mod-Podge? And I love the color you used! Do mind sharing what it was? Thanks in advance!
