DIY Flower Pots

This year I wanted to add a little color to my flower pots. There are lots of colorful flower pots out there to buy, but I thought it would cheaper and more fun to make them on my own. So I did! I picked some fabric that coordinated with my patio furniture, bought some spray paint and pots and went to work on my colorful update!
I used Krylon's Oxford Blue Satin to spray paint the small flower pots. Then I used Rust-Oleum's White Gloss spray paint for the larger pot.
I sprayed both the flower pot and saucer two coats each. Then let them dry.
After they were dry I cut my fabric to fit the layer of the flower pot under the crease. I added a thin layer of Mod Podge Outdoor Exterior around the entire flower pot.
Then I added the fabric around the flower pot, making sure to smooth out any creases.
I used scissors to cut inserts into the fabric on the areas that seemed to bunch up a bit. Then I was able to straighten and tighten the fabric to make it smooth.
Lastly, I added a thin layer of Mod Podge over the fabric to seal it.
I love how they turned out! They add that perfect amount of color that I was shooting for.
