We've shown you our wallet friendly makeover of the basement family room and bar. Now, here is our brew kitchen almost complete.
These next photos give you some idea what we started with and shows you how the framing was done against the concrete walls.
We found inexpensive old cabinets on Craigslist and refinished them. We also added the hardware.
A cabinet was built around the breaker box and it also houses an extinguisher. I then painted it to match the cabinets.
The apartment size stove was also a Craigslist find. It was dirty and almond color. I tore it completely apart, cleaned it and painted it white. It came out like new and was only $40.
We made a large swinging door to utilize the space under the stairs.
You would hardly notice it's there except for the cabinet knob gives it away.
A window blind will be hung and this one last corner will have storage shelves. That will be it! Now on to the laundry room in the next month or two.....stay tuned!

I'm loving that space under the stairs! Great work!

Thanks Wendy. We have always wanted a basement and this has been a lot of fun. The second half of the basement we will be framing in a laundry room, bathroom, closet, storage, furnace room, and last but not least, a wine cellar. We may have it done by next year 😌
