Ten plus year old address plaque served it's purpose. Weather beaten, paint peeling, and just plain ugly.
Before and after.
Original address plaque. Over ten year old. Time for a change.
Removed the plaque. Then removed the numbers and lightly sanded with a green Scotch Brite pad to remove the gloss. Painted them and the screws with two coats of Rustoleum 2X spray paint in Aluminum which I had in stock. Then sealed with two coats of Rustoleum 2X Clear Spray paint also in stock.
Cut a piece of plywood same size as old plaque. Painted it with three coats of Rustoleum 2X paint in High Gloss Black and three coats of Clear on all sides so it would be weather proof.. I like the rough finish on the painted panel. Looks like rough stone. Lined up the numbers, marked for the screws, used an awl to start the holes, and screwed the numbers on.
Here's the new address plaque. Good for another ten plus years.

I wondered, why did you not sand/restain or paint the original address plaque? I think it would have looked very polished as a glossy black vs just a piece of plywood
