$100 Shabby Farmhouse Bathroom Makeover

Since I don't have another vintage trailer to re-do (yet), I gotta have SOMETHING to make over! I last changed the bathroom scheme two years ago, so it was overdue for an update. I wanted a shabby farmhouse feel, so I grabbed some things I already had on hand, made a couple runs to Home Depot and Ikea, and slapped on some paint and hardware. Done!
The "after." I dry-brushed the cabinets to give them the weathered look I love, added black iron drawer pulls (even though they aren't needed for this type of drawer, but I love their look), and brought in some things I had found while junkin' but hadn't found a place for in the house yet: the black iron chandelier above the window, the little step on top of the counter, and the black shelf above the toilet. The shower curtain is actually a $9.99 pair of Ikea lace curtains, with a plastic shower liner inside. I had to shorten them, and used some of the leftover scraps to make the window curtains. Most of the cost of the makeover was for the drawer pulls and the trip to Ikea (although I managed to get out of there for under $50!).
Before. I loved the bright tangerine and coral colors and the Boho feel of the shower curtain, but I was kinda over it. And those dull oak cabinets had zero personality!
This little black shelf had been sitting on my bedroom floor for months, ever since I picked it up at a thrift store. I just didn't have the right place for it, until now! The butterfly print set was $14.99 at Ikea (the second one hangs on the wall opposite the shelf).
I got this little step at an antique store a few weeks ago, and intended it for my little vintage trailer, but I think it looks fabulous as a riser on the counter. The pail holds some of my daily "stuff," and the jar houses unwrapped bars of soap.
A shabby farmhouse HAS to have milk bottles, right?!?
I have a thing about iron candle chandeliers and buy 'em whenever I see them. I got this one while junkin', but didn't have a place for it so it just sat on my dining table until it found its new home in the bathroom. I love the contrast.

Great Job! I want one of those faucets that look like an old hand water pump! They are dark (I believe what is called oil rubbed?) but there are expensive...that is since I would be replacing a lifetime guaranteed solid brass one that was the "last big trend"!

Can you imagine black frames around the mirrors? So detailed! Love the cabinets and pulls!
