Chandelier Lampshade Made From Foil Food Wrappers and Recycled Glass

Drinks, snacks and crafts are three of my favorite things so when I can combine all three I get very excited!
I am a sucker for all the food wrappers that have the silver foil on the inside so they always end up as crafting supplies.
I recently purchased the Fuseworks Microwave Kiln Kit and I have had so much fun fusing small pieces of recycled bottle glass in my microwave. Most of my projects have been to make jewelry but I have been wanting to use this fun crafting tool for other projects as well. I decided to use pieces from an empty vodka bottle to make decorative glass pieces for the chandelier.
This project actually started because the globe light cover in our bathroom got broken a while back. I have been working on some other upcycling projects to redecorate the bathroom and I had the frame from a thrift store purchase. It was missing a lot of the original jewel pieces and my reason for buying it was to use the jewels on other projects. So of course I was delighted to find a use for the frame itself.
To decorate the frame I used a combination on foil disks and fused glass to fill in all the tiers of the frame.

To be honest I am not sure how I feel about the end result (sometimes my projects look better in my head than once they have been executed) but it goes with the new theme and it is better than the bare bulb. :-)
