Sugar Skull Wall Hanging DIY - Reclaimed Pallet Wood

I had some leftover pallet wood from the doghouse project and wanted to create a Sugar Skull decoration. Watch the video above to see exactly how I made it!
First cut four pieces of wood to one length. Then cut two pieces that are slightly smaller than the width of those four pieces put together.
Then add glue to the back of the shorter pieces.
And then screw them onto the back of the four pieces. I used a total of eight screws. Make sure the screws are short enough that they don't poke through to the other side of your wood.
I mixed gray and white paint and painted the boards.
When dry, I used a skull stencil to add the skull to the wood. I taped over the crossbones because I didn't want those on my piece.
Then I used various flower and leaf stencils that I had on hand to decorate the skull.
I used a golf tee to make small dots for additional embellishment.
I used a brush to add teeth.
There is the skull, but it still needs some more!
I used a stencil to add roses around the skull.
That's better!
That's it! I used leftover wood from a doghouse I built. If you want to check that project out, you can find it below!
