Oak Cabinet Update With NO SANDING, PRIMING OR SEALING

My home was filled with outdated oak cabinets from the kitchens to the bathrooms. And purchasing new ones just aren’t in the budget. For the kitchen, we opted to do a full paint job with all the steps. For this bathroom cabinet, we tried something new that came out beautifully.

I found a new product called Beyond Paint, which came as a recommendation from a friend attending a trade show, knowing what I went through to do my kitchen cabinets.

While they came out beautifully, it was a lot of work to get there.

Being that the bathroom is smaller, I figured I would give it a try and works case scenario is that I had to do it over again in the same way I did the kitchen.

I am happy to report that, that won't be happening and the project was a total success.

I started by cleaning the cabinets with a vinegar and water solution.

I removed the doors to paint the box without getting it on the hinges.

I reattached the doors and painted them hanging along with the drawer fronts.

It took a full two coats with some minor touch-ups for full coverage.

It came out absolutely beautiful.

Check out the blog to find all the details about drying and curing time, how I did the countertops, and for more photos.

Wow you have given me hope for my outdated oak bathroom vanities. I don't want to replace them and have been procrastinating the paint idea. But this looks really easy! Thank you.
