I was shopping at a Habitat store and saw some metal numbers. They had the numbers for my address,

so I got them.

Those numbers needed to go on something and these tongue and groove boards we got for free from a neighbor worked perfectly.

I loved the old chippy look. Three boards worked perfect for the size of the numbers.

Here is the back side. I simply attached the boards with a nailer then used a wire with screws to hang it up.

I went over the original paint with a dry brush of white paint.

Then I added the numbers to the front. This silver just didn’t have the old look I wanted.

So, I painted over the silver with the rust color of our house. I applied a crackle medium I had over the rust color and then painted the green over that according to the directions. It immediately started reacting and the crackle started forming. It’s really fun to see it happen before your eyes.

Finished product! Added the Welcome sign below too!

We made another one and added She Shed to it for a friend.
