If you have a room where you just can’t control the sound. Acoustic panels just may be your answer.
I did a little research on acoustic tile and panels via the Internet. It seems to be very popular project. I needed 6 panels.
The rock wall panels are 2’ x 4’ by approximately 3 inches deep. At the home improvement store I purchased molding trim of the appropriate size in the The rock wall panels are 2‘ x 4‘ by approximately 3 inches deep. At the home-improvement store I purchased molding trim of the appropriate size, Cut the trim to make a 2 x 4‘ box. Then glued and nailed together and added scrap for support. I then covered each rock wool panel with jute fabric, by spray gluing the edges and stretching the fabric over the wool.

Made my measurements where I wanted on the wall. Took a piece of wood 18 inches long and cut a 45° angle on one long End. I drill two holes in this piece of wood at 16 inches on center to make sure I was going to attach to studs.
French cleat
After securing the frame to the wall. I pressed the covered rock wall panel into place. Viola!

      It’s really quite amazing how this project helped control the echo in this room. Picking a neutral colored jute, the panels balance that large wall, without putting a bunch of color on it.
