Make a gorgeous DIY felt pennant banner and even coordinate colors to match your party colors or decorating theme! This project takes less than one hour and requires just a few supplies. You can use a colorful pennant banner to decorate a child's bedroom, playroom, school room and more!
To make a DIY pennant banner, gather your supplies. You'll need colorful felt, a length of ribbon and a piece of cardboard. You'll need some tools too: scissors, a hot glue gun and a measuring tape. Use the cardboard to cut out a triangle flag shape to use as a template for the felt.
Stack several pieces of felt and lay the cardboard flag template on top. You can either trace around the flag template and cut out the felt, or cut around the flag template directly. I easily cut out 3-4 felt pennant banner flags at one time.
Lay out a long piece of ribbon and arrange the flags along the ribbon. Make sure the ribbon doesn't twist. You can use the measuring tape to make sure the flags are evenly spaced. Use the hot glue gun to squeeze a line of glue along the top of each flag and glue it to the ribbon.
My DIY felt pennant banner turned out so cute and colorful! I used it to decorate for a kid's party and now it's hanging in our school room.
You can use a felt pennant banner indoors or outdoors to decorate for any party or special occasion. Pennant banners make cute room decor too! Which colors would you choose to make your own pennant banner?
